The 1960 Series explores the spirit of mid-century modernism through contemporary textile design. Inspired by the optimism, abstraction, and artistic freedom of the 1960s, the collection translates flowing forms and expressive color fields into refined, hand-knotted rugs.

Each design is developed within the Design Studio Concepts of Wendy Guns, where art, architecture, and craftsmanship intersect. The collection balances bold visual language with calm composition, creating rugs that feel both expressive and timeless.

Hand-knotted in Nepal using traditional techniques, the 1960 Series celebrates the dialogue between modernist design heritage and contemporary living.

Flow No. 2 – 1960 Series

Flow No. 2 captures the quiet rhythm of movement and colour. Soft, undulating shapes overlap and dissolve into one another, creating a layered composition that feels both organic and intentional. Warm ochre and sandy tones are balanced by muted lilac, dusky purple and deep blue, evoking a landscape shaped by time, light and flow.

The design reveals itself gradually. Subtle transitions and translucent layers add depth without sharp contrast, allowing the pattern to breathe and adapt to its surroundings. Flow No. 2 brings a sense of calm continuity to a space, while its rich colour palette adds warmth and character.
