For a beautiful private residence in Kontich, we recently completed a wonderful project featuring two fully custom-made rugs—each designed to perfectly complement its own dining room. The client wished to explore options in person, so we arranged a detailed home presentation. Based on this visit, together we selected two unique pieces that fit the interior beautifully.
1. Natural Dunes Striped – Nepalese Wool in Natural Tones
The first rug, an impressive Sand Dunes design measuring 4.15 m x 2.50 m, was handwoven in Nepal using Alloo wool in soft, natural colours. 2 Subtle dark-brown stripes create depth, abstract echoing the calm lines of drifting sand dunes. Entirely custom made, it brings warmth and refinement to the space while staying true to the home’s serene colour palette.
2. Season Spring Rug – Wool & Silk, Made in India
The second rug, Season Spring, sized 3 m x 2.50 m, was crafted in India by Ashtari Carpets in a luxurious blend of high-quality wool and silk. Its gentle sheen and sophisticated texture elevate the second dining room with an elegant and contemporary character. This piece, also tailor-made, complements the architecture and furniture perfectly.
A Tailored Experience & A Happy Client
Both rugs were developed for the client’s home. After our on-site presentation, the choices quickly became clear—the colours, textures, and proportions aligned beautifully with each room. The final result is a harmonious combination of craftsmanship, comfort, and personal style.
