The 1960 Series explores the spirit of mid-century modernism through contemporary textile design. Inspired by the optimism, abstraction, and artistic freedom of the 1960s, the collection translates flowing forms and expressive color fields into refined, hand-knotted rugs.

Each design is developed within the Design Studio Concepts of Wendy Guns, where art, architecture, and craftsmanship intersect. The collection balances bold visual language with calm composition, creating rugs that feel both expressive and timeless.

Hand-knotted in Nepal using traditional techniques, the 1960 Series celebrates the dialogue between modernist design heritage and contemporary living.

Flow No. 1 is a contemporary rug inspired by the abstract modernist language of the 1960s. The design features organic, flowing shapes that overlap and interact, creating a sense of movement and depth while maintaining visual harmony.

Warm terracotta, deep blue, mustard yellow, and soft green tones are layered against a natural light background, reflecting the balanced color compositions characteristic of mid-century design. The gentle curves and transitions evoke a painterly quality, transforming the rug into a grounded piece of functional art.

Designed by Wendy Guns as part of her Design Studio Concepts, this rug bridges artistic expression and refined interior design. Hand-knotted in Nepal, it respects traditional craftsmanship while embracing a distinctly modern aesthetic.
